Helping Hand tips etc

just copy and paste to your word pad Rolling Eyes

Pre-race checks
After these final checks, you should be ready for the race. :_ The right race driver?….. Correct ‘driver behaviour’ set?….‘Overall car condition’100%?….. Engine stability maxed out?…..Set-up maxed out on engine, chassis & aero?….Pit stop(s) set?…. . Whenever possible collect your sponsorship money & you will always get more if your driver’s “TRACK KNOWLEDGE” is maxed out, but make sure that your “RACE” driver’s “FITNESS” , which increases by 10% per hour, will be at it’s best by 1600 hours UK time (1700hrs neopoly time) on Race Day. Finally, explore the site, click on everything to find out more information …… If you think all the above might be helpful you can cut it from here & paste it onto a “WORD” document for reference.
:
driver settings
Train on craven and qualify on insane,…then set your ‘drivers behaviour’ according to your ‘drivers attributes’ using this as a guideline :-…................ ‘General readiness to take risks‘…relates to your ‘track knowledge’ % and your overall driver stats ..,…… ‘Overtaking behaviour’ …to your ‘Overtaking’ %…… ‘Material stress ‘… depends on the condition and fine tuning % of your engine and chassis…… ‘Ambition‘…to ‘kilter’ %………................................ ‘Driver Behaviour’ settings……. Craven if under 30%.............. Cautious if between 30% and 50%......... Balanced between 50% and 68%......... Brave between 68% and 78%........ Audacious between 78% and 89%........ Insane between 90% and 100%.......some of these %'s can alter a bit depending on the track, but its useful as a guide

more help

Post  raigerjohn on Mon Sep 28, 2009 11:13 am

While you were away I put together a guide to "setting up" for our New members.... Some of our more experienced racers said that they also found it usefull as a reminder, so I'm passing it on to you too.... Morning chaps….. Now then, at the risk of sounding patronising, I have put together a “NEWBIE GUIDE” which I hope may help those less experienced racers among us while also acting as a pre-race check for you “EXPERTS”!….. First & foremost read the instructions! which can be found under the “HELP” tab, making sure that you click on ALL the topics underlined on the right hand side…… Make sure that you buy the latest “SET-UP” driver & max him out……. Your “RACE” driver should be maxed out in all the fields except “SET-UP”…… Do your training on “CRAVEN” & your qualifying on “INSANE” & then remember to set your driver’s “BEHAVIOUR”to your chosen race settings using the following chart as a guide. :- 0 – 29 = Craven 30 – 49 = Cautious 50 – 59 = Balanced 60 – 77 = Brave 78 – 90 = Audatious 91 – 100 = Insane Now after these final checks, you should be ready for the race. :_ The right driver?….. Correct driver behaviour set?….Overall car 100%?….. Engine stability maxed out?…..Set-up maxed out on engine, chassis & aero?….Pit stop(s) set?….. Whenever possible collect your sponsorship money & you will always get more if your driver’s “TRACK KNOWLEDGE” is maxed out, but make sure that your “RACE” driver’s “FITNESS” , which increases by 10% per hour, will be at it’s best by 16.00 hours UK time on Race Day. Finally, explore the site, click on everything to find out more information & remember that you do not need to delete new messages in our “FORUM” to be able to read older ones because there is an “OLDER MESSAGES” button…… If you think all the above might be helpful you can cut it from here & paste it onto a “WORD” document for reference….. If anyone else has something to add to this, now is the time to let us know!…..Iain. (ILC)

Training

Post  Admin on Mon Sep 28, 2009 6:50 pm

Training and training emphasis
During training, test laps can be driven for just a little fee. Naturally, the driver will get a little exhausted. In case the fitness drops to zero %, the driver cannot concentrate properly and has to rest first.

These are the training laps' advantages:

Check of car configuration
After having modified the car, you can check the modification's success by doing a training lap. An increase in lap time means that the change made sense.

Improving car fine tuning
Whenever you modify chassis, engine, or aerodynamics, the fine tuning value drops to 0 %. It increases with each training mile until it reaches 100 % again.

Optimization of driver attributes
By this training emphasis you determine which driver attributes shall be trained or decide to let the technicians concentrate merely on the car´s fine tuning.

Training emphasis

Narrow bends: This emphasis trains the driver attribute "bend driving".

Fast bends: This emphasis improves the driver attributes "bend driving" and "top speed".

Highspeed: This emphasis improves the driver attribute "top speed".

Start: This emphasis improves the driver attribute "overtaking".

Overtaking: This emphasis improves the driver attribute "overtaking".

Driving in lee: This emphasis is a global training, there are several attributes that will be improved.

Pit Stop: This emphasis improves the driver attribute "Pit Stop".

Braking: This emphasis improves the driver attributes "kilter" and "overtaking".

Threshold: This emphasis improves the driver attribute "kilter".

Traction: This emphasis improves the driver attributes "bend driving" and "overtaking".

Track exploration: This emphasis improves the driver attribute "Track knowledge".

Aerodynamics, engine optimization, chassis tuning: This emphases improve the fine tuning process in the respective areas

start of each season

Post  Admin on Mon Sep 28, 2009 7:16 pm

Introduction
Welcome to the extraordinary racing game by Yahoo! and neopoly! Reach out for the title!

A season spans about two months and consists of 20 races. You as racing team manager have the task to pave the way to the title for your drivers.

There are a number of features you can employ, ranging from engine setup and driver training to strategy modification via radio during the race.

Your racing team starts off with one vehicle, one driver, 1,000,000 cash and 60 turns. Many actions in the game require turns and cost money. Therefore it`s important to always have an eye on the cost; otherwise it might happen that you possess a cool car but have not enough cash to enter qualification.

race

Post  raigerjohn on Tue Sep 29, 2009 7:56 am

Race
There´s always 22 equally good drivers competing in one race. There are as many races taking place parallely as necessary (according to the number of players).

There are a few things to note:

The start:
The starting grid is determined by the qualifying. In order to get ahead in the beginning of the race, it makes sense to plan an early pit stop. This subsequently leads to the car being light and therefore faster.

Overtaking:
Depending on the race track, overtaking is either easy or almost impossible. The personal talents of the driver again have a strong impact here. During pit stops, a car of course can be overtaken.

Pit stop:
Depending on the race track, one pit stop has to be performed. Due to strategic reasons, it might be cunning to perform additional pit stops. During a pit stop, the tyres will be changed automatically. Caution: new tyres will need a few laps to get fully efficient.

Driver risks:
The four driver risks can be modified at any time and have a strong influence on the race´s outcome.

Dropout:
As soon as your driver´s health or your car´s condition drop below a critical value, your car/driver drops out of the race
